I’m an Unreal Engine Authorized Instructor (Gold), technical game designer, and educator with professional experience in the games industry. My background blends hands-on development with a deep commitment to high-quality education in Unreal Engine.

Currently, I’m expanding my C++ skills while developing two original projects through my studio, Blaze Games. Alongside my development and teaching work, I regularly speak at conferences and events, where I aim to inspire and support the next generation of game developers.

Background

Growing up, I had a passion for video games, even when they were dismissed as a distraction. I believed in their potential and let that passion guide me toward a career in the games industry.

I began my journey with an undergraduate degree in English, followed by a PGCE, gaining teaching experience through remote and supply positions. After earning my master's degree in Games Design at the University of Teesside, I entered the games industry and gained valuable hands-on experience with Unreal Engine while working for three different companies. Eventually, I returned to teaching as a lecturer in Games Design, combining my industry knowledge and passion for education. Now, I run my own indie games company, Blaze Games, and regularly deliver talks across the country while developing my own projects.
